Type 1 diabetes is a condition in which your immune system destroys the insulin making cells in your pancreas. It’s usually referred to as juvenile diabetes because one is typically diagnosed at a young age.
Some typical symptoms that people with Type 1 Diabetes one might experience are below.
- Urinating often
- Feeling thirsty
- Have extreme hunger
- Extreme fatigue
- Blurry vision
- Slow healing cuts and bruises
- Weight loss, even though you may be eating more
Type 1 diabetes is caused by damage to the beta cells. Insulin is the hormone that moves sugar in your cells for energy.
