  1. Practice mindfulness exercises together, such as deep breathing or yoga.
  2. Take a walk or hike in nature and discuss the sights and sounds around you.
  3.  When driving, play road trip games with your child.
  4. Create art together, such as painting, drawing, or clay sculpting.
  5. Play a board game that requires strategy and critical thinking.
  6. Read a book together and discuss the characters and themes.
  7. Cook a healthy meal together and discuss the importance of proper nutrition.
  8. Write in a journal together, sharing thoughts and feelings.
  9. Volunteer at a local charity or community organization.
  10. Learn a new skill together, such as a musical instrument or a new language.
  11. Practice gratitude by discussing things you are thankful for each day.
  12. Practice “Fun Friday” once a month. This could include an in house movie night or going to a restaurant.
