If you try to do everything at once, you will probably get nowhere. Set goals then draw that dotted line from point A to B to C. Take things one at a time!
If a friend, family member or someone you know is feeling down, ask yourself if there is something you can do to be nice or supportive. If you're struggling, find support.
Write a list of ideas for positive ways you can de-stress. Short-term fixes (pills, alcohol, substance abuse) aren't going to help in long-run. Unwind and stay calm!
Take in a slow breath. Start from your belly; expand through your ribs, chest & lungs. Breathe out just as slowly. Counting can help ("1, 2, 3, 4, 5 ...") Repeat. Breath deep!
Reading, texting & posting on your phone keep your mind active when it should be winding down instead. Stop looking at screens before bedtime!
Get 7–10 hrs of sleep a night. Wake up at same time every day, even on weekends and holidays. Feel your best with regular rest!
Enjoy meals with friends, try new foods and try not to obsess over food. Healthy eating means having a healthy attitude toward food. Establish a healthy relationship with food!
Even taking a short walk or climbing a flight of stairs can reduce stress & increase alertness. Boost mood, increase concentration, alleviate anxiety & depression - exercise!
