According to the organization, Disabled American Veterans (DAV), “Moral injury is when one feels they have violated their conscience of moral compass when they take part in, witness or fail to prevent an act that disobeys their own moral values or personal principles.

Supporting Your Children in a Deployment Separation

Deployment can often affect children in the same way as a divorce. They experience similar worries such as what will happen to them, who will take care of them, or if the non-deployed parent is going to leave too. It's important to make sure your child feels loved and consistently assure they are not responsible for their parent going away.
